01. Who we are

Knowledge and experience from the floor.A system built for reality.

We started Asadra because we kept seeing food plants run their safety on paper: forms filled in after the fact, signatures missing, audits handled under pressure. The professional knowledge was there — the tool was not.

The system replaces the binder with a digital form that works on the production floor, in four languages, with digital signatures, records that cannot be altered after the fact, and a daily report ready before the inspector arrives.

Behind the product is a team that pairs technology with first-rank regulatory experience from Israel's public-health leadership.

  • Regulatory knowledge from the inside

The HACCP in the system is aligned to Ministry of Health requirements and Codex, and reviewed by someone who headed the country's public-health services.

  • Built for the production floor

Large, clear tablet forms, one-tap worker selection, works without signal — because a report that is awkward to file does not get filed.

  • Records that hold up in an audit

Every report is digitally signed and locked in a SHA-256 hash chain. What was recorded stays, and who recorded it is known.

02. Professional leadership

The people behind your confidence.

Prof. Itamar Grotto, Chief Health Officer at Asadra

Prof. Itamar Grotto

Chief Health Officer (CHO)

Responsible for Asadra's professional and regulatory content: the HACCP methodology, alignment with Ministry of Health requirements, the control-point library, and the guidance the system gives manufacturers.

Prof. Grotto is a specialist physician in public health and an epidemiologist, and one of the central figures in Israeli public health over the past two decades. He served as Head of Public Health Services at the Ministry of Health and as the Ministry's Associate Director General, and stood at the front of the national response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Before that he served for many years in the IDF Medical Corps, including as Head of the Army Health Branch. He is a professor of public health at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and the author of dozens of studies in epidemiology, infectious diseases and health policy.

At Asadra he brings the regulator's point of view: what is actually checked in an audit, where plants fall short, and how to build a system that meets the requirements not only on paper.

Shiray Kachlon

Founder & CEO

Leads Asadra: strategy, product and the work with manufacturers and consultants. Her charge is to turn self-inspection requirements into a daily working tool on the production floor — not another binder on a shelf.

Shiray is an electrical and computer engineer, a graduate of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, from the deep-tech and medical-device world. She began her professional career in Unit 81, the technology unit of the IDF Intelligence Corps.

She spent more than five years at Vectorious Medical Technologies in three roles. She started as a hardware and RF engineer, taking electronic boards from design through lab bring-up. She then served as technical project manager: leading multidisciplinary teams — quality and regulatory affairs (QA/RA), clinical and manufacturing — managing milestones under Design Control processes and reporting directly to the CEO. In her final role there she worked on ASIC and MEMS research. Before that she designed RF circuits at ELTA.

She knows the other side of the picture up close. At the family plant, Shaarei Houri, she managed a team of workers, logistics projects and sales, and saw what a working day looks like in a small factory with no quality department. At Asadra she connects the two worlds: the rigor of a regulated industry, and a system a small manufacturer can genuinely work with.
